Scripture
Revelation 21:4
The name "Endless Summer" brings to mind warm sunshine, blooming flowers, and long, enjoyable days. Yet no matter how much we enjoy summer, we know it will eventually come to an end. The seasons change, flowers fade, and another winter always comes.
Life is much the same. There are seasons of joy and seasons of sorrow. There are times of growth and times of hardship. Nothing in this world lasts forever. For those who know Jesus Christ, however, God has promised a future where the seasons of suffering will end, but the season of joy never will.
The Bible tells us, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." — Revelation 21:4
David also wrote, "In thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore."— Psalm 16:11
This hydrangea reminds us that while the beauty of this world is temporary, the promises of God are eternal. Every flower will eventually fade, but every believer has the hope of an everlasting home where beauty never fades, joy never ends, and our fellowship with the Lord will never be interrupted.
As you enjoy the blooms of this "Endless Summer" Hydrangea, let it remind you that the greatest days of the Christian are not behind us—they are ahead of us. Because of Jesus Christ, an endless season of joy awaits every child of God.
Take a Moment: Are you living only for what is temporary, or are you looking forward to what is eternal? Thank the Lord for the promise of heaven, where every tear will be wiped away and the joy of His presence will last forever.
